Kapital

Kapital was founded in the mid‑1980s by Toshikiyo Hirata in Kojima, Okayama, after he fell in love with vintage American denim and returned to Japan to master jean making. Now co-driven by his son Kiro, the brand blends traditional Japanese techniques—boro, sashiko, kakishibu dyeing—with Western workwear, military, and cowboy references, creating denim, outerwear, knits, scarves, and accessories that age beautifully and often look one-of-a-kind. In this shop, Kapital pieces are chosen for fabric, repair and dye work, and condition, with detailed photos and measurements so buyers can appreciate the texture, color, and fit of each garment.
